Job Summary:

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member Accounting team has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager, Financial Accounting. This team manages DVC’s Loan and Dues portfolios as well as the suite of financial systems used for accounting and reporting. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills, experience with financial systems support, an accounting background, and a continuous improvement mindset. This position works collaboratively across the DVC business areas to ensure support a variety of strategic initiatives, drive business efficiencies and improvements, understand regulatory and compliance requirements, and provide outstanding customer service to our DVC Members and business partners.

Responsibilities


An employee at this level provides leadership to a team of manager and professional level employees. Responsible for developing departmental plans (including business/organizational priorities) and accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Makes decisions that are guided by resource availability and functional objectives

  • Provide leadership to a large team organized into four key areas of responsibility:
    • Project/System support – Provide leadership in the development and sustainment of financial systems to support the business in the areas of strategic initiatives, new resort growth, compliance efforts, system replacements/enhancements, middleware development, etc.
    • Financial Management – Accounting, Reconciliations, Billings, Taxes
    • Reporting & Collections – Departmental Metrics, Compliance Reporting, and Collection processes
    • Account Servicing – Member communications, Payment processing, Training and Development


  • Oversee the day-to-day business including monitoring and leveraging operational reporting and analytics to enhance the service provided to the over 250K DVC Member families
  • Provide coaching, career development, and strong leadership to the team
  • Support team in the continued enhancement and development of key performance indicators and business drivers to support initiatives and help identify issues, risks and opportunities
  • Partner with various areas including Sales, Compliance, Technology, Shared Services and Legal (internal and external counsel)

Basic Qualifications


  • Minimum of five years’ experience with growing responsibility in Finance or Accounting
  • Aptitude to work with several financial systems
  • Experience providing leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills, including direct interactions with members and guests
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills
  • Strong critical thinking and business acumen skills
  • Ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines and multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through a proactive approach to problem solving, identifying process improvements, strong detail orientation, and great partnership skills
  • Excellent team player with solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead and foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment
  • Proven ability to synthesize financial information into a concise story and communicate it effectively
  • Ability to embrace and execute finance and digital transformation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership of a large diverse team.
  • Timeshare industry experience.

Required Education


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business discipline

Preferred Education

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a business discipline
