Job Purpose: This role will identify the organization’s most profitable assets and identify best practices to replicate throughout the SonyATV catalog. By utilizing both catalogued and disparate data, the Project Manager will provide strategic profitability analysis and drive change throughout the organization.

What You’ll Do:


  • Create and deliver profitability analyses on segments of Sony/ATV’s commercial music, film/TV, and production music businesses throughout the world
  • Coordinate discussion with senior management, A&R staff, and Administration staff to facilitate management of investment portfolios
  • Review deals with highest outstanding advance balances and commitments with A&R and senior management executives
  • Act as point person with information technology specialists to conceptualize and implement systematic profitability tracking solutions
  • Create regular and bespoke reporting of royalty and investment information for senior management and Finance department
  • Prepare or assist with special projects as needed


Who You Are:

  • 5 or more years of music industry related experience, or similar experience in finance-related fields
  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Must be aligned with Sony’s Values and Purpose
  • You use communication and presentation skills to engage, inspire and influence all levels of management and employees
  • Ability to work independently, maintain reporting schedule and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound understanding of copyright, financial and administrative concepts within music publishing preferred
  • Established problem-solving skills and ability to apply them within various technology applications
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with data analysis and modeling required
  • Experience with query-building computer language (e.g. SQL) and business intelligence (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Domestic and International travel required
  • Irregular work schedule may be required
  • Ability to communicate in language other than English preferred but not required
