Job Description
HubSpot
Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to join a high-impact team focused on reporting visualizations within the Reporting Product Group at HubSpot.
The Opportunity
HubSpot is on a mission to help millions of organizations grow better. We believe that when our customers run their marketing, sales, and service teams on HubSpot, there’s a multiplier effect and the flywheel starts spinning. All of the touch points that our customers are having with their customers creates useful data in the HubSpot CRM. In the Reporting Product Group, we’re focused on turning CRM data into real answers for SMBs, so our customers can better attract, engage, and delight their buyers.
To do that, we’re investing heavily in our reporting platform, with the goal of better integrating actionable insight into the flow of our customers’ work. This is where the reporting visualization team comes in. This role is focused on making HubSpot’s data visualization platform consumer grade, more consistent, and better documented in 2025. Three major things need to happen to accomplish this:
- Develop a strong perspective on what great interactability and usability looks like for charts, graphs, and tables in HubSpot
- Validate and ship new visualization options based on high priority use cases
- Improve our documented processes so all teams can better adopt our standardized data visualizations and reporting platform, anywhere HubSpot data shows up.
Why this role is exciting
This SPM will join the Reporting Visualization team. This is a high performing, fast moving team that is fully staffed with front end software engineers and a senior product designer. We’re looking for a senior product manager who can execute on the major improvements above (and more!) through building a deep understanding of customer problems related to visualizing data, and help us figure out what it looks like for customers to take action on insights to grow their business.
We’re looking for an ambitious SPM who is comfortable developing a strong product opinion on the future of data visualization within HubSpot. For example, this person should be able to clearly articulate where we should focus our efforts in order to make charts, graphs, tables, and maps easier to use – anywhere they may show up across the HubSpot customer platform. Importantly, we expect this person to be comfortable with cross-team collaboration across HubSpot’s product and engineering organization, have a robust track record of shipping successful software products, and thrive in ambiguity.
We are looking for people who have:
- Experience launching software products successfully to customers
- Experience with data and reporting tools, or ideally experience building reporting or data platform software products
- Experience as a platform product manager, building tools that serve both external customers and internal product teams
- Proven ability to combine market, business and technical insights to identify opportunities and weigh tradeoffs
- The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate – often without perfect information
- Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy
- An understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) space
- Strong communicator; can articulate product vision to a variety of audiences
- A respectful teammate and collaborator
- A passion for growing healthy teams and leaders, cultivating psychological safety, and facilitating tough conversations that help people grow
- Curious about the HubSpot product and ready to learn
- Excited to understand customer needs deeply and creatively solve their problems
In this role you will:
- Join a product-led culture that puts the customer first
- Develop ambitious product strategies that are driven by our customers, the business, user data, and market trends.
- Ship product and develop new features iteratively, from concept through launch, in close collaboration with partners in UX, Engineering, Analytics, UX Research, and go-to-market teams.
- Deeply understand our customers and their journey through the product by engaging with them daily or weekly
- Create a shared vision and roadmap for the future of this product area with your Product Triad (Product, Design, Tech Lead)
- Have clear visibility and expectations for career growth opportunities.
- Be empowered to show up as your authentic self and choose a work style and location where you can do your best work, whether that’s at home, in an office, or a blend of the two.
