Servers are expected to provide service that is approachable, energetic, knowledgeable, and thoughtful while upholding the standards of 192 at The Blake. The nature of this job requires a highly motivated, committed, and skilled individual who can work with a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times.
  • Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.

  • Provide recommendations and answer questions about food and drink items, including allergen and dietary information, ingredients, and preparation methods.

  • Work with Culinary staff to ensure proper presentation of food items according to menu guides and guest tickets.
  • Demonstrate experience in handling complaints and resolving grievances to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with guests to ensure food, beverage, and experience quality. Monitor guests to anticipate needs and provide timely service.
  • Participate in regular and ongoing training to increase product and service knowledge.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of and practice responsible alcohol service.
  • Communicate product and supply needs to appropriate management.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and take them to the proper disposal location(s).
  • Miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning floors, stocking products, restocking glassware, rolling silverware, etc.
  • Respond to any guest requests or issues by communicating with the appropriate staff.
  • Recite basic knowledge about menus, menu items, and the resort itself.
  • Accurately deliver any room service orders to designated rooms.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management at any time. Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.

Qualifications & Knowledge


  • Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire.
  • Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant or guest service preferred, but not necessary.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while on duty.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.



Physical Demands of Position Include:

Will often lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 50. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.



Background Check

Positions dealing with children, of safety sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
