Essential Job Functions:
- Give prompt, pleasant, courteous, and efficient service.
- Prepares all beverages utilizing standard portions, ingredients, and garnish.
- Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses, and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks, and charge receipts
- Operates a point of sale, ringing in the proper amount into the register and giving guests or servers correct change.
- Resourceful with all beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs while assuring quality products.
- Possesses knowledge of all liquors, beverage recipes, and required garnishes.
- Always maintains a respectful and professional demeanor with guests, and follows guidelines provided by the property alcohol management program.
- Assist in all aspects of this operation when necessary.
- Performs all side work duties as described for assigned shift
- Sincerely greets and welcomes all guests.
- Maintains a neat, clean, always organized, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Ability to suggest and describe available wines, and beverages.
- An outstanding example of and a credit to Harrah’s.
- Acts as a role model presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
- Performs all related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to balance a service tray.
- Prior service experience in an upscale restaurant/lounge.
- Knowledge of wine service.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Neat, clean appearance.
- Excellent and outgoing personality.
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Requires knowledge of operating point of sale.
- Successful completion of alcohol management training.
- Certificate from bartender school or equivalent years of experience.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demand:
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- The position requires 10% standing and 90% walking.
- Requires very frequent lifting, bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching overhead.
- Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
- Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Earn between $15.00 and $16.50 per hour, depending on your experience, plus tips.

Shift Details:
- Swing Shift: 3:00 pm -11:30 pm (Thursday – Sunday)
