About the Role
As an Occupancy Planner, you will contribute to the productivity and performance of our client’s real estate solutions. This role is part of the Moves, Additions, and Changes (MAC) function and focuses on ensuring space management, occupancy planning, and workplace changes are delivered effectively and efficiently. You will work closely with senior planners and clients to develop space solutions that enhance workflow and align with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate conceptual occupancy planning solutions for office and lab environments.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure efficient and effective space usage.
- Provide accurate and timely activity tracking and space allocation reporting.
- Assist with the creation of CAD-based architectural and furniture plans.
- Document space changes and manage project updates within the CAFM system to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Suggest innovative and alternative layout options to improve workflow and enhance the client’s working environment.
- Maintain and manage furniture inventories, coordinating with warehouse teams where necessary.
- Partner with the Senior Occupancy Planner to integrate findings into reports and recommendations.
- Participate in project management activities as required.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to exchange straightforward information and confirm understanding.
- Model behaviors aligned with company values.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in occupancy planning or workplace solutions
- Experience working in life sciences environments is a plus
Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
- Strong understanding of CAFM systems
- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
