Our schools in Philadelphia are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment, and the ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of each student.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional development.
• Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification.
• Background Checks, up-to-date FBI and state clearances. (or willing to obtain)
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
