The Opportunity

At Hyatt Hotels, Cyber Security is a very important part of our mission to take care of people so they can be their best. The Senior Analyst – Cyber Security Threat Intelligence plays a crucial role in completing that mission every day by ensuring that the Cyber Security Department, IT Department, and executive leadership have appropriate indications and warning of impending cyber attacks. The Senior Analyst will work to understand threat actors and their motivations. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for supporting Hyatt’s Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), ensuring the health of Indicator of Compromise data, monitoring of opensource and paid intelligence and integrations with other security tools.

Cyber security threats evolve on a daily basis and the Senior Analyst will pay a critical role in keeping our guests and colleagues safe.

The Role

  • Provide fact-based technical and strategic intelligence reporting to departmental and executive leadership on existing and emerging cyber threat techniques and actors.
  • Using opensource, social media, and private intelligence information, examine Hyatt security systems for signs of attacker activity.
  • Assist with managing of Hyatt’s Threat Intelligence Platform, managing feeds of information, procuring new feeds, and integrating the platform into border security technologies.
  • Partner with other hospitality companies, retail organizations, and the federal government to share and receive cyber threat information, using that information to improve the quality of Hyatt’s security program.
  • Use a detailed understanding of new vulnerabilities and emerging trends to produce threat models that allow Hyatt to understand specific groups of attackers in relation to the data and systems Hyatt uses.
  • Actively monitor malicious and fraudulent brand impersonation. Work cross-functionally with external trackdown vendor and internal stakeholders to take action on malicious content.
  • Monitoring and analysis of ransomware and breach intelligence to identify any exposure to Hyatt and relevant third parties.
  • Ability to use analysis tools (e.g. SIEM) for triage, hunting and exposure assessments.
  • Provide support for security investigations including analysis and intelligence enrichment.


Qualifications

Experience Required:


  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience working with cyber intelligence preferred; however any combination of experience, education, and certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Cyber Security is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or better in Cyber Security, Political Science, or any other security-related or intelligence-related subject is preferred; however any combination of education, experience, and certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.
  • Technical domain knowledge with Linux, Windows, or MacOS based systems and network infrastructure cloud products.
  • Experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms or intelligence monitoring applications such as Zerofox, ThreatConnect.
  • Intermediate understanding of SIEM tools (i.e. Splunk, Qradar, ArcSight)
  • Experience with scripting tools (i.e. PowerShell/Python)
  • Understanding of malware and forensic analysis
  • Ability to travel worldwide on an as-needed basis for meetings and conventions is required (up to 10% of total work hours).
  • Ability to attend quarterly on-site meetings.

Experience Preferred:

  • Intelligence and/or Cyber Security related certifications (i.e. SANS, CISSP) are preferred; however any combination of certification, education, and experience that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.
