WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Senior Director of Sustainability Reporting, Disclosure and Compliance will report directly to the Chief Sustainability Officer and is responsible for leading NIKE’s Sustainability mandatory and voluntary reporting and disclosure strategy and compliance efforts to drive sustainability, transparency and ethical governance. This role involves aligning efforts with overall NIKE strategy, ensuring regulatory and reporting compliance, driving disclosure best practices, and fostering transparency, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Senior Director will also act as the principal advisor on these matters to the senior leadership team, as well as engaging with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

The candidate will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 10 years directly relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, regulatory requirements, and global sustainability trends.
- Proven track record in driving sustainability initiatives that align with corporate strategy and result in measurable impacts.
- Experience with sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI,) and non-financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform decision-making.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Sustainability Reporting, Disclosure and Compliance Strategy Development:
- Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that supports NIKE’s long-term growth and sustainability goals.
- Align sustainability objectives with business strategies, considering environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.
- Benchmark and adopt industry best practices and frameworks for sustainability reporting.
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary advocate for within NIKE, promoting Sustainability principles at all levels.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including legal, controlling, Insights & data analytics, technology, and communications to integrate sustainability goals across departments.
- Engage with regulators and other stakeholders to communicate sustainability performance and progress.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to international, national, and local sustainability regulations and reporting standards, such as CSRD.
- Provide regular updates to the executive team on sustainability trends, risks, and opportunities.
Reporting, Disclosure and Compliance:
- In partnership with various, lead the development of robust sustainability reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate collection, measurement, and disclosure of key sustainability metrics in line with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage sustainability disclosures across multiple channels, including annual reports and product disclosures.
- Work closely with finance, and legal teams to ensure reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, and readiness for assurance.
- Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes, including sustainability disclosure and compliance requirements, and lead any necessary adaptations to NIKE’s reporting practices.
- Implement systems for transparent reporting and ensure alignment with stakeholders’ expectations.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate sustainability-related risks, including reputational, operational, and financial risks associated with non-compliance.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to integrate sustainability risks into the enterprise risk management framework.
