Team/Job Summary: This role is within the NOA IT: Solutions department, and part of the Business Systems Analyst team. Provides training and development through continual review, feedback and on-the-job development. Designs and develops learning experiences, training programs and content using a variety of educational approaches, with a specialty in technology.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Responsible for collaborating with Business Process Owners on content, maintenance, and delivery of mandatory e-learning courses per the company-wide required training schedule.
- Define, design, and develop instructional materials for in-house-developed and packaged software and business processes.
- Responsible for employee instruction across a wide array of business processes and systems.
- Conducts in-house training classes.
- Prepare training materials and documentation using a variety of authoring tools and delivery methods to maximize effectiveness and usability.
- Determine delivery methods on new assignments and may mentor and coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
- May provide testing, support and troubleshooting of prior developed technology solutions.
- Ensure work is completed in such a way that it complies with established security regulations, policies, and internal controls.
- Create and deliver performance reports for training, and process improvement needs to relevant stakeholders.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in given specialty.
- Demonstrated Instructional Design skills, including development of eLearning courses, job aids, classroom course materials, informational articles, and announcements.
- Experience developing learning objectives for courses on company policies, and user documentation for ERP and other software applications.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills, including experience delivering materials using different writing styles based on the user audience.
- Experience applying functional decomposition methods to analyze technical processes and tasks that require translation to lay terms.
- Demonstrated ability to dialogue with business analysts, engineers / developers, and other Business stakeholders to capture complex technical tasks and processes.
- Experience using the ADDIE instructional design model.
- Experience adhering to a style guide.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theory, and audience analysis.
- Experience advocating for the user audience.
- Experience providing guidance on training design, content development, and formatting choices during cross-group collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to respond to changes in work priorities and / or project schedules in a rapid and flexible manner.
- Degree in Instructional Design, Communication, or English; an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, with additional coursework or equivalent combination of technical writing or training.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential or similar certification in instructional design or technical writing or learning/cognitive science preferred.
- Experience with instructional design/workplace training platforms and tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SnagIt, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Confluence.

This position is HYBRID in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $89,000 – $142,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
