Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of custom Enterprise Java IAM applications. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, integration with various identity management systems, and management of application servers.



Qualifications

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Java-based IAM applications.
  • Develop and enhance both front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Manage integrations with identity management systems, including LDAP, SOAP, REST, and other authentication protocols.
  • Work with Oracle databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Support and manage Tomcat application servers to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and maintain secure coding practices to protect sensitive identity data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, and application development teams, to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IAM applications, integrations, and authentication processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Mass General Brigham’s security policies and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
  • Participate in code reviews and advocate for best practices in software development.
  • Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and best practices to continuously improve system security and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack Java development.
  • Extensive experience with Java-based frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
  • Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  • Proficiency in working with Oracle databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience integrating IAM solutions with Active Directory, Azure AD, and other directory services.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Kerberos.
  • Experience managing and deploying applications on Apache Tomcat.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and source control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based IAM solutions and services is a plus.
