Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. Responsibilities:
- Manage activities supporting new study launches related to material supply, including kit and bulk supplies, as well as other potential supplies required for initial site shipments.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Logistics, Materials, suppliers, Procurement, and Kitting Operations to ensure flawless execution.
- Maintain oversight of all activities to ensure supplies are available at kit locations to support Site Initiation Visits (SIV) and initial requirements.
- Develop and maintain performance indicators that cover the launch of studies, specifically focusing on the materials needed for kit/bulk supplies.
Education and Experience:
- High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Technical positions may require a certificate
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 4 years).
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Clinical trials experience is desired.
- Experience in project management is desired.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and laboratory principles pre-analytical, analytic, and post-analytic influences on specimens and results.
- Basic project management skills.
- Knowledge of Master Supply List in Connexion.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Outstanding analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language – additional languages are an advantage.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making.
Additional / Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Primary contact for training related to study launch preparedness as it relates to kit/bulk materials.
- Liaise with Strategic Procurement and Project Management as it relates to supplies needed for new studies.
- Identify and communicate material supply risks and/or issues associated with new study launches.
- Develop and maintain a launch tracking report.
- Liaise with Materials Coordinators to ensure purchase orders for materials are placed to support new studies.
- Track purchase orders for supplies required for initial site orders.
- Track study launch achievements related to kit materials.
- Attend and support study preparation meetings including Risk Assessments.
- Assist in addressing customer concerns related to supply delivery issues, including conducting research on additional suppliers or alternative products if needed.
- Liaise with Materials Coordinators and kit vendors in booking new supplies at kit vendors.
- Act as a point of contact for all materials related to new study launches.
- Maintain and prepare SOP’s, work instructions, and training slides as they relate to new study launch materials management.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert with systems, tools, and processes.
