DESCRIPTION

NA Ops Sustainability Strategy & Execution (SSE) is looking for a Senior Program Manager to drive Net Zero Carbon initiatives and decarbonize new and existing buildings in North America Operations. The Sustainability Program Manager will work cross-functionally to develop, implement and lead sustainability initiatives.


To do so, the Sr. PM will manage a range of stakeholder interests and support related internal communications and change management initiatives. The Sr. PM will track carbon reduction and implementation of sustainability initiatives to determine progress towards Net Zero Carbon targets.



They are passionate about sustainability, and will speak truth to power on what matters for sustainable living, even if it competes with our standard operating procedures. They are willing to roll up their sleeves and execute projects independently, but can also earn trust and build relationships across the organization to leverage existing frameworks.

Key job responsibilities
– Prioritize the most impactful carbon reduction initiatives for Sustainable Buildings
– Plan and execute implementation of initiatives across the portfolio
– Quantify realized carbon reductions from implemented strategies
– Build out and support reporting mechanism to track impact
– Lead collaborative monthly / weekly reviews to align stakeholders across the organization
– Establish cross-functional relationships in order to leverage resources and integrate onto larger company-wide initiatives/goals


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
