Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Planner to join our growing team. Reporting to the SVP, Programs, the Sr. Program Planner will establish and refine the department’s Program Planning & Scheduling processes, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, performance calculations, standards, and cadence in support of the Programs.



Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop schedule management processes and guidelines for internal team members, including MS Project change control and updating rules
  • Drive the implementation of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

  • Consult with Program Managers, technical experts, and third-party program management to integrate multiple parallel program-dependent initiatives, and set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks. Identifying critical path elements and solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive progress and performance, monitor changes and status, develop and facilitate communication
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system
  • Coordinate program timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Monitor the portfolio of programs timelines and deadlines
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in a timeous manner
  • Assist in negotiating hand-offs between program areas regarding technical content and schedules, as well as facilitating workaround planning as required
  • Work with Engineering, Finance, Business Operations, Program Management, and Supplier Chain Management to translate customer requirements into the IMS
  • Recommend actions to keep Programs within budget and completed on time
  • Documenting Program scheduling processes and maintaining records
  • Support new Proposal orders
  • Assist the IPT team in the decision-making processes to mitigate risks and resolve challenges on a day-to-day basis


Requirements

  • 5 to 8+ years of experience as a program planner/scheduler
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or a related discipline
  • Expert in Earned Value Management reporting and metrics
  • Proven track record of maintaining program schedules and providing performance reports through the project life cycle

 Additional Differentiators  

  • Certification as a PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software, such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or industry equivalent
  • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of program timelines and changes
  • Aerospace industry experience or equivalent experience developing and maintaining program schedules for advanced technology efforts
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills

  • Exceptional communication skills with multiple engineering disciplines

 Salary Range $150,000-$200,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.



Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
