Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Disney Experiences (DX) segment of The Walt Disney Company. CIMA influences data-driven and consumer-centric decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights.
As a Senior Sales Channel Planning & Analytics Analyst with Sales Analytics & Insights (SAI) in CIMA, you will collaborate closely with internal partners to develop an understanding of business needs, identify business trends and provide insights that inform Disney Cruise Line Sales and Marketing decisions. Responsibilities include problem solving, integration with key business partners, data analysis and visualization, and data management. A successful candidate will be a savvy analyst who can help deliver business results and thrives on excellence.
The role reports to the Manager, Sales Channel Planning & Analytics and will be based in Celebration, FL.
Responsibilities:
You will join a fast-paced team of professionals that enable data-driven capabilities and sales performance analytics for the Disney Destinations Sales Strategy & Solutions organization.
Each day the role of a Senior Sales Channel Planning & Analytics Analyst is robust and evolving! Day to day responsibilities may include efforts to:
- Uncover insights and trends in large multifaceted datasets to inform business decisions and be able to share in meaningful and intuitive ways
- Develop new efficiencies and processes for analytics, data sources, and problem solving
- Support multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously under changing and challenging constraints
- Foster relationships with other departments and project stakeholders
- Exhibit curiosity to uncover new data sources to inform business needs
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in an analytics role
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations
- Experience crafting simple, compelling stories for varying types of audiences to guide decision-making
- Technical proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience leveraging data visualization software (especially Tableau)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner with others and deal effectively with multiple projects and changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with analytical and data mining tools such as Tableau, SQL, Python, or Dataiku
- Experience with Disney Experiences Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Commercial Strategy Analytics
- Sales and marketing analytics experience
- Travel industry experience
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a concentration in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a similar discipline
Preferred Education
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a similar discipline
