Sr. Solutions Architect

Serves as a solutions expert at the business unit level developing the most end-to-end solution architecture for highly complex and significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders. Exposes current state architecture and identifies options for future state architecture. Works closely with business and IT stakeholders creating solutions that balance competing interests and concerns. Develops plans for and facilitates the migration from current to selected future state by providing technical leadership to multiple initiatives. Mentors those in less senior positions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Java; J2EE; JDBC; Spring Boot microservices; Restful services and webservices; API development – Broadcom Layer 7 API Gateway, Swagger hub for API portal documentation and publishing APIs for developers; Identity and Access Management tools like ForgeRock Identity Cloud, Ping Identity and Broadcom SiteMinder; Bot manager protection tools like Akamai bot manager and fraud detection; several tools to support application in time and make sure the health of the application in production is good (includes AppDynamics, Graphana, Prometheus, Splunk and Dynatrace; CICD/DevOps tools which include Jenkins, Gitlab, GitHub, SonarQube, Cloud Foundry, HP Web inspect, Qualys, Fortify; Architecture tools – PlantUML and Visio; Artificial Intelligence – Large Language Models (LLM), AI based chatbots, Enterprise advanced features, Advanced Data Analysis. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Plano, TX. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.*
