Baseline Requirements:


  • Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate student
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Authorized to work in the United State without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
  • Available to commit full-time from May 2025 – August 2025
  • Graduating no earlier than December 2025

Software Development Intern


As an intern in Lifecycle Collaboration Software (LCS), you will dive into developing our premiere Teamcenter software. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products, with focus on surpassing customers’ expectations by achieving high quality and on time delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. You will also create, document, and execute software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. While you will work with general supervision on complex projects and have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers, it will also be important to act with independent judgment when necessary.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop cloud platform services with a microservice-based architecture to be consumed in multiple applications within the LCS organization
  • Perform the steps in Software development life cycle (specs, design, construction, test plan & execution) using Agile methodology.
  • Adhere to best practices in coding, documentation, test automation, and deployment
  • Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas.
  • Building and supporting web-based applications, services, and systems
  • Has comprehensive and diversified knowledge of engineering/computer science methods and practices.
  • Solve complex technical problems.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) environment

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • Experience in one or more Object oriented programming language such as Java or C++ or web technologies such as React, JS, HTML, CSS is required
  • Cloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) experience is beneficial
  • Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be willing to do what is needed for the success of the team
  • Passionate, driven, and proactive
  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


The hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
