The Boeing Integrated Design Engineering Organization is seeking a highly motivated Structural Analysis Engineer (Mid-Level, Lead or Senior) to join the Space Mission Systems Engineering Team.
This candidate will be a part of a high-performing engineering team that is immersed in development and high Non-Recurring projects. The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical integrity of structure and test equipment for cryogenic systems. This role will include accountability for project structural analysis across Government Programs. The candidate should have a background in mechanical/structural analysis with experience in cryogenic systems. The candidate must exemplify the Boeing Values in day-to-day operations. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment.
- Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
- Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
- Works under minimal direction.
Basic Qualification (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance & Special Program Access Post-Start is required.
- Experience with structural analysis for cryogenic systems
- Experience with finite element analysis software
Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams
- Experience working in a cross functional team environment and lead across engineering / non-engineering disciplines

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $102,000 – $138,000
Summary pay range for Lead: $124,100 – $167,900
Summary pay range for Senior: $146,200 – $197,800
