Job Summary
Performs a wide range of duties including coordinating movement of medical supplies and equipment. Ensures supplies are rotated following FIFO standards and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customers requirements. Promotes organizational and departmental goals and objectives in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides and promotes a safe work environment with quality outcomes. Has working knowledge of Supply Chain functions according to Federal accreditation affiliations.

Job Description
Essential Functions
- Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the Supply Chain mission in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire.
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and provides feedback to caregivers and our customers.
- Assists with the management of the department and directly manages departmental personnel. Creates an effective learning
- environment by promoting a positive and professional work place.
- Assists direct supervisor in effective fiscal budgeting/management of the department. Assists in ensuring supplies and equipment are maintained.
- Assists in completing employee time cards according to personnel policies.
- Consistently evaluates departmental procedures, responsible for quality improvement, responds and coordinates product recall of medical equipment, instruments and supplies.
- Utilizes computer for required informational access, communication with supervisor, staff members, and customers, compiling reports, and developing workflow guidelines. This includes the MMIS (Material Management Information System), Microsoft suite of products and other vendor software as needed.
- Supervises, orients, and evaluates job performance of caregivers and keeps manager informed of all personnel issues.
- Assists in completing performance appraisals according to personnel policies.
- Builds and maintain metrics. Teaches and collaborates metric results to Monument Health caregivers as appropriate. Proudly displays metrics gathered in a professional manner.
- Builds and maintains an environment dedicated to safety and quality outcomes.
- Assists with Inventory VAC and various VAC teams as directed.
- Collaborates with the Transportation Supervisor as needed to maintain proper flow of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborates with procurement and follows purchasing guidelines outlined by Monument Health.
- All other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Required
Education – High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Certifications – **Forklift Certification – Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Work Experience – 3+ years of Inventory Management Experience
**Required at MH Lombardy location only and must be attained within 6 months of hire
Preferred
Education – Associates in Related Field
Work Experience – 1+ years of Healthcare Inventory Management Experience
Physical Requirements: Heavy work – exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or up to 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and or up to 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
