SUMMARY: Responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of Land Based or Marine, Company owned Company operated (COCO) or Government owned Company operated (GOCO) bulk storage and distribution terminals.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts transfer and receipt operations of Government or customer owned petroleum products in various modalities to include Ship, Barge, Tank Truck, Rail, and Pipeline. Performs inspections of facilities in accordance with contract requirements or operational directive.
Performs Fuels Quality testing in accordance with contract requirements or as directed. Performs maintenance and housekeeping of Crowley owned equipment and assets. Performs maintenance and housekeeping of Government or Customer owned equipment and assets as directed. Performs inventory control of bulk fuel tanks, additive systems, and assets as appropriate to maintaining Contract compliance or operational directive. Ensure work is being performed in accordance with company operational and safety standards, in addition to all applicable Government or Customer Contract requirements. Act as a first responder to fuel spill incidents. Performs all customer service-related activities.
OTHER: Must be willing to work long, variable hours, which may include evenings and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as necessary to support Operations, Government or Customer requirements, and Emergency Response.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1 year experience working in a bulk fuel facility or fuel systems receiving and distribution. Previous experience with Government Contracting fulfillment desired.
CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess or the ability to obtain government security clearance and maintain it throughout employment. 24 Hour HAZWOPER, Valid Driver’s license.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Fuels Manager software experience or equivalent is desired.
COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Knowledge of, and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate and/or maintain machinery, tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance manuals. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
JOB SCOPE: Position impacts a single department.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside in an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
