Position Overview:

As a Trench Crew Member, you will be responsible for performing manual labor tasks necessary for the installation of underground utilities, particularly the digging and preparation of trenches for electrical conduit installation. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dig and prepare trenches for the installation of electrical conduits and other underground utilities.
• Assist with the installation of conduits, cables, and other related materials in trenches.
• Operate hand tools and equipment necessary for trenching tasks, including shovels, picks, trenching machines, and mini excavators.
• Ensure trenches are dug to the correct depth, width, and slope according to project specifications.
• Backfill and compact trenches after conduit installation, ensuring a clean and safe worksite.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with other general labor tasks as needed, including site preparation and cleanup.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or similar labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, digging, and operating hand tools for extended periods (Up to 50-100 Lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and willingness to adhere to company safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

• M-F, Weekends as needed – 6 AM Start Time
