Welder’s Helper

Pay: $20-25/HR. (Based on Experience)


Hours: Monday – Thursday 5AM-3:30PM

Job type: Temp to Hire


Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Test Type: No Weld test required (In lieu of test 1 year of experience in shop required)


Join our team as a Welder’s Helper, assisting in the layout, fitting, and fabrication of metal components for structural forms and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Assist in the layout, fitting, and assembly of structural forms, such as machinery frames, bridge parts, and pressure vessels.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations, especially in experimental scenarios.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects, measure for conformance, and adjust components as needed.
  • Operate various tools and equipment, including acetylene equipment, arc welders, and cutting tools.
  • Support quality, engineering, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring all equipment is used safely and efficiently.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.
  • Previous Weld Shop experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in skill levels and experience.
